About The Beat!
Now in their 14th year of existence, 8 Beat Measure is RIT's oldest A Cappella group. Originally formed as an extension to the RIT Singers, 8 Beat Measure eventually expanded their horizons, while still maintaining a strong affiliation to the RIT Singers. 8 Beat Measure is known for their 'Funky Fresh' Style, and smooth harmonies. The guys of 8 Beat enjoy many different types of music, and perform from a wide repertoire of A Cappella music both arranged by our members and pre-arranged.

Eight Beat auditions occur
once every year, during the first week of every school year. Check back
later during the summer, and beginning of the school year to learn about
the rush events going on for the 2008 school year.
Eight Beat performs at a wide variety of events during the academic year, from Christmas parties, to concerts, to road trips, there is no event too large, or small for Eight Beat. To see about booking an event, email any one of the people on the contact page.
